Ngenyilel TVET Workshop - September 2025
Objectives
The workshop assessed Ngenyilel TVET's academic programmes, infrastructure, student needs, and potential for future technology-focused collaboration.
What Happened
The team reviewed an institution founded in 1990 and operational from 2017. Ngenyilel now enrolls 167 students across courses including building technology, hairdressing, beauty, fashion, food and beverage, plumbing, ICT, automotive engineering, and electrical installation.
Key Moments
The institution has strong internet, water, sanitation, agriculture land, and an East Africa-level volleyball profile. Its main constraint is limited workshop space, which reduces hands-on training and contributes to a dropout rate affected by school fees.
Why It Mattered
Ngenyilel is positioned for growth in technology, agriculture, value addition, garment production, web design, and AI. The September workshop laid the groundwork for the later Russian language launch and future IT collaboration.
