Nandi School Workshops - September 2025
Objectives
The Nandi visits were conducted to understand school conditions, identify support priorities, and explore where cultural and educational partnerships could fit.
What Happened
The team reviewed Bishop Muge Memorial School, Saru-Gaa Primary School, and Soin Primary School between 15 and 16 September 2025. Each visit documented enrollment, staffing, infrastructure, feeding, sanitation, and student-welfare issues.
Key Moments
Bishop Muge supports about 120 learners from poor backgrounds but faces sustainability and overcrowding challenges. Saru-Gaa lacks a computer lab, science lab, clean drinking water, and birth certificates for some learners. Soin has 264 learners and strong sports participation but urgent needs in water safety, latrines, feeding, and learner health.
Why It Mattered
The Nandi reports are raw but valuable. Together they show where practical interventions - documentation drives, feeding, sanitation, sports support, and school partnerships - can strengthen learning before larger programmes are introduced.
