Makueni Marwa Schools Cultural Workshops
Objectives
The Marwa visit brought cultural exchange to a closely connected school community while opening a structured conversation on local development needs.
What Happened
The team was welcomed by Principal Mr. Patrick of Marwa Secondary, Headteacher Mr. David of Marwa Comprehensive, Rev. Kilonzo, the area chief, PTA leaders, clergy, and community representatives. Kate introduced Path to Russia's mission and led basic Russian language and culture activities.
Key Moments
Students received the team with joy and quickly engaged with Russian greetings. Leaders identified water scarcity as the top priority, because reliable water could support feeding, agriculture, nutrition, and school income-generating projects.
Why It Mattered
The two Marwa schools serve nearly 800 learners. Addressing water, ICT, sanitation, kitchens, and dormitory needs would improve both learning and daily welfare while sustaining the openness created through cultural exchange.
