Objectives

The programme was created to help Kenyan students gain Russian language proficiency for direct admission to higher education in Russia, reducing the need for a preparatory foundation year.

What Happened

On 19 November 2025, Michuki National Polytechnic launched the programme with Path to Russia and delegates from Moscow Polytechnic University. Guests included Hon. Peter Kihungi, Anna Semenova, Yulia Davydova, Alina Andrukh, Russian language instructors, institutional leaders, staff, trainees, and community members.

Key Moments

Hon. Peter Kihungi announced sponsorship for 20 students from Kangema Constituency, and four additional students were sponsored immediately during later interactions. Students asked detailed questions about scholarships, living conditions, careers, and study pathways in Russia.

Why It Mattered

The launch turned cultural exchange into a concrete academic bridge. Students now have a structured path to language preparation, Russian university admission, affordable study options, and industry-linked learning through Moscow Polytechnic's network.
